Andrew Kishore, the renowned singer, has been in the music industry for the last thirty years or so. He is one of the few singers who has received not one or two, but seven National Cinema Awards. This is seldom seen in Bangladesh, a singer so renowned that his fans young and old, have been humming his songs for over thirty years now.

Ichher Daka Daki by Obscure
Obscure is back again with a new album and a whole new line up. Their new album Ichher Daka Daki is released by Laser Vision and is now available in stores all over Dhaka. Obscure now consists of Tipu as vocalist, Rajib on guitar, Tanim on bass, Binod on keyboard, and Shamim at the drums. For all the Obscure fans as well as the band members, this is a long awaited album. Although the vocalist Tipu had changed bands and also tried out solo career, Obscure is put together again.

70 Years of Dhaka Radio Drama
To mark the 70th anniversary of broadcasting radio drama of Dhaka, now Bangladesh Betar, a programme was held at the National Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) on April 3. Betar Natyakar-Natyashilpi Shangshad (BNNS), an organisation of enlisted Bangladesh Betar actors, producers and scriptwriters, arranged the programme. The highlight of the programme was felicitation for 16 noted radio personalities.
